Seattle (WA) – According to friends and associates, 40 year old local musician and all around fascinating person, Susan Singleton*(not her real name), is actively interested in finding a local man for dating activities and general fun times. “At first I thought I could just go it alone, you know, do my own thing,” said Ms. Singleton, “but I’m not really ready to be the stereotypical cat-lady, sitting by myself watching my ’stories’ on the TV every night. I don’t even really like cats. I’m more of a dog person, actually.” When pressed further, Ms. Singleton admitted that she doesn’t even really watch much TV either. In fact, Susan enjoys all kinds of other activities that are sure to be of interest to area men: arts and culture, spending time outdoors, exploring the area through the beauty of road-trips, reading high-minded, elitist books, talking about various hilarious and sometimes worldly subjects with wit and charm, and making crackling campfires in order to provide a romantic setting for drinking a couple of cold ones.

“I hear that summer is upon us, and it seems like that’s a great time to hang out with a guy who is funny, kind and smart,” remarked Susan when asked why on Earth she thinks posting an ad on Craigslist might be anything but a horrible idea full of life-threatening possible scenarios. “Besides, it’s free and is much more of an adventure than a traditional dating site, and single, hilariously witty, well-educated people who are passionate about something actually use Craigslist, at least in Seattle.” Reluctant to post a picture because she’s “not cool” with plastering her photo here for all the world to see, Susan mentioned that she is “about average height, at 5′8″ish, and while never easily confused for a skeletal super model, she is committed to getting into much better shape, has brown hair and wears glasses, like the sexy nerd she is.” When told that guys really only care about the photos anyway, Susan said they are available upon request, of course, as is the usual custom with the kids these days.

Ms. Singleton is looking forward to hearing from more than a few crazy nutjobs who inevitably answer every single post from every single woman with the same one line fraught with misspellings and poor grammar, because those are at least entertaining on some level, but even more, she hopes to hear from an area man who is single, interesting, “gets my humor and is ready to meet someone fun and go from there.”
